Peter Leonhardt - Director


Peter has always had a passionate interest in developing countries, and has specialised in appropriate telecommunication and technology for use within them. With ten years professional experience in ICT and Telecommunications, he heads a design team in the UK for a global communications provider. He has worked in Tanzania with the ICT for Rural Development Project in 2008, and in 2009, worked in Mauritius looking at renewable energy and ICT for use on the island. He graduated from University College London in 2008 with a MSC (Distinction) in Business and Telecommunications, within which he specialised in appropriate ICT for schools in developing countries. He has also had a number of papers published, and spoken at International conferences including ITP/FITCE at the Institute of Education in London (2008) on the appropriate use of the Internet for education in developing countries, and at the FITCE conference in Prague (2009) in using green ICT for sustainable development.

 
 

Damas Ally – Consultant


Damas was born in Musoma, Tanzania, and is currently studying Engineering and Computer Engineering (BoE) at Dar es Salaam Institute of Technology. Damas has a wealth of experience with deploying and maintaining ICT systems across Tanzania utilising a wide range of systems and telecommunication mediums. He has also worked on pioneering projects, including ICT for Rural Development, which brought internet connectivity to remote and schools and hospitals in the Serengeti and Bunda regions of Tanzania.
